San Diego Visitors Center First Time Visitor To San Diego, Need Advice?

First time visitor to San Diego, need advice? - san diego visitors center

We will be in San Diego in November 2008 for a convention, as this is the first time that I'm looking for feedback on things, "nothing to lose, who will be near the convention center probably will not stay car, but do not mind walking / using public transport. Most days will be filled with the things the convention, but after 4 clock in the afternoon we are ourselves, and probably will continue to play a 3 or 4 days. If we have car for the extension and what sectors are walking, shopping, restaurants, nightlife, sports bars spending (as the end of the college football season) is a zoo day? "I is already controlled information Convention & Visitors Bureau and AAA, but San Diego a great place, would love information in a few .....

For additional days would have a car. Buses and trams are very good for the attractions within 5 miles from downtown, but a car is much better for the most remote places.

There are many places to shop, dine and leave the center, especially in the Gaslamp Quarter. Whiskey Girl, Gaslamp Tavern are a few sports bars to check out cool. This site is good to see what's in the Gaslamp Quarter http://www.gaslamp.org/

Eating outside the downtown San Diego, beautiful places to stroll, shop, or drink a glass would be, Little Italy, just north of downtown and the historic northern city in the near future. Both road and 5-10 minutes from the convention center, so you could check these two places before it on a cart. Pacific Beach and Mission Beach there are large communities of beach and the pleasure of walking, and from the scene. You can rent a bicycle race between the two areas along the coast. Garnett Ave in PB has tons of bars, nightclubs, restaurants and funky shops to check out. PB has the best nightlife in San Diegothe Gaslamp, but is aimed at a younger and more relaxed.

La Jolla is a very pleasant surroundings and picturesque to verify. Many restaurants, bars and shops in the region because it is one of the richest communities in SD. Great views of the coast and the beaches and pools in the heart of LJ as well.

The beach communities North County Del Mar, Encinitas and Carlsbad have some inner cities, the main road through the sea and are a good place for walking and from the scene.

The zoo is very good and useful, certainly much better than SeaWorld, which is far too expensive for what it is, even if they are still free beer. The zoo is in Balboa Park, filled full of museums and cultural attractions of the day.

If you want to check some natural areas overlooking Nice try Cabrillo National Monument at the end of Point Loma, excellent views of the city, the Koran, etc ... Places Mount Soledad in La Jolla, Torrey Pines State Park is ideal for the control.

If the WAN --experiance something different and has a small culture shock can go to Tijuana for the day. It is a kind of ghetto, but not the least fun and interesting. Here you can park a tram or car, your car and cross the border.

I recommend renting a car for days. San Diego is very popular in different areas.

There are so many things to do in San Diego. Check http://www.sandiego-romantics.com for some ideas.

Some of my favorites on the ferry to Coronado .... You can do it, and dinner in Coronado ... Sunday brunch at the Hotel del Coronado is beautiful.

Balboa Park makes fun to explore. You've got a car that people are free to different areas of the park transported. The zoo is fabulous.

Horton Plaza in the center is a luxury shopping. There is also a window for 1 / 2 price theater tickets.

A pleasant place to go for dessert is a special dessert. This place was wonderful and tea (and tasty) dessert. It is open until midnight weeknend. There are more than 1 location, but I prefer in the near Balboa Park in the 5th. Your website for more information: http://www.extraordinarydesserts.com/ind ...

I was in San Diego for the first time recently for a convention. It is a pleasant town, we stayed in the Gaslamp District addicts Convention Center. The neighborhood is pleasant to walk and there are many restuaurants and pubs. Discover the Zoo, SeaWorld. I think it will be like the climate and serenity. A very relaxed.

The zoo is definitely worth a day. I would also suggest that you visit Sea World. Downtown is pleasant to walk and the night life. Shopping is easy, because it is taking at least two shops in the downtown, and probably 5 plus a reasonable reader or the bus. Probably, I suggest renting a car for the extra days, but public transport is not so bad. If you're feeling really adventurous, you can take a day and go to Mexico and visit Tiajuana. It is very safe and will surely see things that have not seen before.

San Diego Zoo is definitely worth a day and is in the heart of Balboa Park, SD, another step in its own (certainly recommend !)... It is much better than Sea World ... and a little closer to downtown ...

If you have your passport with you (you need to get back to the United States), I recommend a tour bus and south of the border (literally) in Tijuana, Mexico ... It's so different, but a great experience ... but I am sure that ... Take a tour, do not go alone ... It's just a different way, you can thems foreingnersElves lost ...
